VW on fire on the 10 Freeway, Los Angeles, CA. Always have a camera on hand!

Taken on a Friday, around noon. Across from our hotel was an art school, and this scene was playing out on the steps. I clicked the shutter and sped away, didn't want to disturb such an intimate moment. Never saw their faces!

Soon after this photograph was taken, the house, and all of its contents, were burned to the ground by a serial arsonist. The owner was at church playing the organ during the blaze, and was spared physical injury. This photograph was selected by The Royal Photographic Society for inclusion in their Annual Print Exhibition, 2012-2013.

My sister gave me these toy piranhas, and eventually this image was made into greeting cards, very popular with lawyers and dentists. They would buy them by the box-load!
